Fans seemed convinced that things weren’t right between Rosie Seabrook and Casey O’Gorman after their awkward AfterSun reunion – something which was confirmed just days later when they became the first Winter Love Island 2023 couple to split – and now Rosie has taken to YouTube to explain exactly what went down between the couple.
In her first ever video – a Love Island Q&A, classic! – after being asked, ‘What happened with Casey?’ the former industry placement advisor explained, ‘First of all, we were never a couple. Yes, we were coupled up together but it was very very early days.
‘It really wasn’t that deep and we both feel mutually about the situation… We obviously spent a week together in South Africa after we left the villa and things were quite different then. We didn’t actually spend that much time together, but we had just both got our phones back so I kind of made an excuse for it.’
She continued, ‘And then coming back to the UK, we barely spoke… I did reach out and I didn’t really hear anything back and I felt like there was no effort made.’
Rosie’s video comes just days after Casey was spotted looking cosy with his former partner Claudia Fogarty whilst cosy on a double date with Tom Clare and Samie Elishi in Manchester.
Despite that, Rosie admitted that she and Claudia had become good friends in the villa saying, ‘Claudia and I actually got on really well despite the situation… Me and her actually built a really good friendship and I’m really glad that we did that because she’s a great girl and we get on really well.’
Rosie also added that now she’s single, she could be looking to slide into Keenan Brand’s DMs after revealing that she wished she given him more of a chance in the villa. She said, ‘I really did fancy him. I found him very attractive.’
She might want to hurry… Claudia’s also been spotted on a date with him too (although whether it was just as friends, we don’t know).
