Kim Kardashian has hushed all hearsay that she would not be in attendance at this year's Met Gala.

After Page Six reported that her famous family could miss out on an invitation to the annual event, the SKIMS mogul gave a very clear message on her Instagram grid yesterday (Wednesday 26 April).

Kim shared a carousel of photos with Choupette - the late Karl Lagerfeld's cat - as she visited the fashion designer's office in France.

'Had a date with @choupetteofficiel in Paris. We then spent some time at @karllagerfeld’s office to get a little inspiration for the Met,' she captioned the post.

'Putting this caption to confirm that they are invited to the Met," one fan joked, while another quipped, 'She said “who ain’t invited”'.

Last year marked the first time the Kardashian-Jenner sisters - Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie - appeared on the gala's red carpet together.

But sources told Page Six in March that Vogue's Anna Wintour was cracking down on the guest list for 2023, with no Kardashians expected to receive a coveted invite.

Yet Kim's post is very telling in that she will be rocking up. And no doubt all eyes will be on the 42 year old's sartorial choice this year, after controversially losing 16lbs in order to fit into an iconic dress of Marilyn Monroe's in 2022.

When is the Met Gala 2023?

This year's Met Gala will take place on Monday 1 May.

The Met Gala - sometimes known as The Met Ball - was formerly called the Costume Institute Gala or the Costume Institute Benefit. It acts as a fundraiser for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City.

The theme for 2023 is Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty - to honour the late designer who died in February 2019.

Who is on the Met Gala 2023 guest list?

The official list is never revealed in full, but it is expected that the co-chairs will be walking the steps of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year, they are Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel, Penelope Cruz and Roger Federer.

The latest issue of American Vogue has paid tribute to Karl by featuring ten models he loved working with: Anok Yai, Shalom Harlow, Kendall Jenner, Liu Wen, Adut Akech, Natalia Vodianova, Naomi Campbell, Amber Valletta, Gigi Hadid, and Devon Aoki. They are therefore assumed to be in attendance.
