While her sisters Kim Kardashianand Kourtney Kardashian have been loved up recently in the power couples of the year, Khloe Kardashianis having a rough time romantically. Khloe and her ex-boyfriendTristan Thompson have been going through complicated on-again, off-again breakups since the beginning of their relationship in 2016. And plenty of drama surrounds the five-year relationship.
The pair were first confirmed to be together in 2016 in Miami, enjoying an evening out at LIV nightclub. Finally ready to tell the world about their romance, Khloe posted pictures of them kissing on her Snapchat. Around the same time, Tristan also received Kris Jenner's seal of approval. She told Us Weekly 'They are really cute. She's having a good time. He seems like a really nice guy.'
Controversially, at the time, Tristan's ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig was still pregnant with their child, who later gave birth to their son on the 12th of December. But Khloe and Tristan spent that Christmas together and went completely public, posting pictures of each other to their Instagram kids. And a year later, they had a child of their own, with Khloe announcing her pregnancy via Instagram.
Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson's daughter,True Thompson, was born on the 12th of April 2018. But while the two were excited to bring their daughter into the world, the relationship wasn't all happy. Fans have long mocked and warned Khloe for continuing to enjoy a romance with Tristan when he routinely and repeatedly cheated on her throughout their pregnancy, and the two broke up and got back together again constantly.
During most of 2018, Khloe went to live with Tristan in Cleveland as her family disliked him so much for cheating on the mother of his child.
Most notably, Khloe and Tristan split in 2019 after he was caught yet again cheating on her with multiple women including sister Kylie Jenner’s best friend at the time, Jordyn Woods. The Kardashian-Jenners cut Jordyn out of their lives, and Khloe broke up with Tristan - although the exes reconciled yet again during the pandemic in 2020.
Entertainment Tonight reported at the time that the family had forgiven Tristan. A source said that 'everyone is back onboard - friends, family, and Khloe have all forgiven him and are giving him this second chance - and so far it’s been working for them.'
In a statement, Khloe said 'Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me wasn’t such a shock as the first time... What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me. Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault...'
More rumours of speculated cheating surfaced earlier this year and the arrival of his third child - which is not Khloe's - seems to confirm them. Tristan has moved in and out of the headlines for the last few years for his suspected infidelity, being repeatedly spotted out with other women or in hotel rooms with them.
Rumours began circulating that the pair had split due to Tristan's infidelity again back in June, but lawyers for Thompson denied the claims as false and defamatory. A source had shared with the Sun, 'When their last drama happened, Khloe told him she didn’t think it was a good idea for True to grow up with a father who was so disrespectful to women. Tristan does want a family, and he wants a bigger family. He’s been begging Khloe to take him back and to make it official.'
'He’s told her he’s going to prove it to her that he can do it and so he’s sworn that he’ll not go near any other girls for six months before he asks her again.' The Sun's informant said 'she’s made it clear that if he can do that, then she’ll welcome him with open arms. But if he can’t, then he’s gone for good.'
The two got back together (again) last year, which Khloe said was a 'natural progression.' Speaking on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she said 'I don't know, we just really became genuine [and] great friends with one another," she said, "I’m not saying that’s what I would encourage other people to do, it’s just what naturally happened for him and I.'
But, of course, it didn't last two long. The two split again in June for unverified cheating allegations which Tristian denies.
However, Tristan announced the arrival of his third child, whom he has had with someone else. The timings around the pregnancy certainly alude to infedelity. In the wake of the news, Khloe urged her fans to be 'understanding' of her and Tristan's situation by posting on Instagram, but this has resulted in some backlash from her fans.
The lengthy post read: 'Life Advice: Always be the best person you can be. Be kind even when you're tired. Be understanding even when you're angry. Do more than you're asked, and don't ask for anything in return. Don't silently expect anything either. Listen when someone talks, and really listen too, stop just thinking of how you'll reply. Tell people that you love them and that you appreciate them.
'Go out of your way to do things for people. Be the greatest person you can possibly be, and when you mess up, make up for it in the next moment or minute or day.'
'One thing you should never do? Never spend your time trying to prove to anybody that you're great, your actions will speak for themselves and we only have limited time on this earth, don't waste it.
'If someone doesn't see your light, don't worry. Like moths, good people are attracted to flame and to light, and they will come.'
But fans are concerned Khloe Kardashian is not 'waking up' to Tristan's behaviour, and that she's being played for a fool. Over on Reddit, one commenter said 'I can't believe that no one in that family has sat her down and told her how embarrassing this is for her life and soul. It's so cringe' while another simply posted 'Oh honey... wake up.'
And have slated her again for engaging in a romance with him while he impregnated another woman.
