Unlike the current generation of Insta-famous models, Kate Moss is famously old school in the way she keeps herself private. However, this Christmas she has made an exception.
The supermodel, who is a regular listener to Shaun Keaveny’s BBC Radio 6 show, joined the DJ for a special edition of the breakfast show dubbed ‘The Kate Moss Hour’.
During the recording, Moss spoke candidly about Christmas traditions, family life with neighbour George Michael, and chose her all-time favourite festive tunes.
"I spend it in the country with my family, the whole family gathering. Anyone's welcome, any randoms as well. I like a random thrown in for good measure. It's just yeah, the full on Christmas works," Moss told Keaveny.
While we may assume Christmas at Kate’s is one big party, it’s actually more about the cooking.
"Of course there's an Aga, yeah. Nothing ever fits in there, it's all a big drama. Running backwards and forwards between houses with who's got a bigger oven than me and we can just, potatoes are over there and turkey's over there and yeah, fun."
And Moss herself is a dab hand in the kitchen, claiming she is the “chief gravy maker” in her family.
Mossy may not be as wild as she used to, but she still has time for her celeb friends. In fact, Moss described her friendship with neighbour George Micheal as a “dream come true”, and the pair regularly hang out.
"He's got a pool, so when it's hot I'm like 'oh can Lila come and jump in your pool?' And he's like 'yeah, come over. And we can actually climb from garden to garden over the walls with a ladder, we've done that a couple of times," said Moss.
While co-hosting the radio show, Moss also picked her Christmas soundtrack, and it’s a good ‘un. She chose Charles Brown's Please Come Home for Christmas, The Staple Singers Who Took the Merry Out of Christmas, Wham!'s Last Christmas, David Bowie's Little Drummer Boy, and Soul Saints Orchestra's Santa's Got A Bag of Soul.
