In case you missed it, this weekend’s profile in The New York Timesabout the Kardashians is wild. Absolutely wild. All of the infamous family are interviewed for the piece and they address scandals while dishing out some newer revelations. Kylie Jenner said she was a private person, apart from, you know, exposing her entire life on international TV! Kim Kardashian revealed she wouldn’t be the next reality star to run for office! Khloe said her endorsement of weight loss products on Instagram was fine, because she shows off her work outs on Snapchat! (As we reported this morning, Jameela Jamil understandably wasn’t too happy about that defence.)
But, even though he wasn’t interviewed for the profile, perhaps we learned the most about Kim’s husband Kanye - and his surprisingly hands-on approach to the branding of America’s most famous family. From the sound of things, it appears he’s pretty much turned into the family’s creative director. Move over, Kris!
The piece details how the rapper has changed the entire look of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, as he ‘frequently texts with the producers, offering input on the opening images’ changing the opening sequence from ‘a 1970s sitcom’ to feature ‘the women in nude tones and sleek, silvery poses.’ Kayne - who married Kim in 2014 - also changed the lighting on the backdrop of the Kardashians’ pieces to camera to an amber light. Don’t believe it? Adam Stotsky, the president of E!, said: 'He’s a real creative force, clearly, and had thoughts on marketing, thoughts on presentation of the show, on the opening title sequence.'
And Kayne also masquerades as a marketing guru, offering advice to the family on their controversial Instagram deals, as the newspaper recalled the story where Kanye gave Kim a million dollars on Mother’s Day in lieu of her endorsing a fast-fashion brand which he said ripped off his fashion lines. Kim revealed: 'He wrote me a check for that amount and said "Thank you so much for always being supportive and not posting."'
As if all that that wasn’t enough, when he’s not advising TV execs, or paying out millions to his wife, he also, apparently, tells matriarch Kris how to decorate their home. 'He said, "I really think that little entry table would look better over there." So what did I do? I moved the entry table,' Kris revealed, speaking just after Kanye had visited their house.
Well, we'll certainly be expecting more of Kanye in season 16 of KUWTK...
Everything We Learned About The Kardashians In That New York Times Interview
kendall jenner
Kendall Jenner spoke about her involvement in the ill-fated Fyre festival. "You get reached out to by people to, whether it be to promote or help or whatever, and you never know how these things are going to turn out, sometimes it's a risk," she said. "I definitely do as much research as I can, but sometimes there isn't much research you can do because it's a starting brand and you kind of have to have faith in it and hope it will work out the way people say it will."

Kylie said she wasn't entirely self-made, as she had 'a lot of help and a huge platform. "I can't say I've done it by myself," she said. "If they're just talking finances, technically, yes, I don't have any inherited money. But I have had a lot of help and a huge platform."
kim and kanye
Kanye regularly texts the producers of Keeping Up With The Kardashians to give his own input. Even changed the lighting of their pieces to camera.
kim kardashian president
Kim will not be running for president any time soon. "No, I don't think so," she reponded to the question. "It would be probably the most stressful job in the world, and I don't think that's for me." (Shame, she would be a better reality president than Donald Trump.)

Kylie Jenner denied that she slashed the price of Jordyn Wood's lipkit after the cheating scandal. "That is just not my character. I would never do something like that and when I saw it, I was like, thrown back," the beauty mogul said. "Jordyn knows I didn't actually put it on sale."
