With His New Pink Hairstyle, Has Justin Bieber Taken Style Inspiration From His Wife?

Q: Apart from being insanely rich and famous, what does Justin Bieber have in common with Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Kesha and Cara Delevingne? A: They’ve all dyed their hair pink{ =nofollow}. Yes, Bieber was pictured on Sunday with a hair transformation even more dramatic than when he opted for a buzzcut last year (you know, after he grew it really long) - the lightest baby pink crop. And it really, really suits him.

We love his new style - just as much as we loved Gaga’s pink hairstyle earlier this month. But, unlike Gaga’s, Bieber’s new do is incredibly light, more of a bubblegum tone than the more outlandish colour styled by Gaga.

It’s likely that Bieber took inspiration from his wife, Hailey Baldwin{ =nofollow}, who had millennial pink hair, topped with a flower crown, at the 2018 Met Gala.

Pastel hair can be quite tricky to get right, and because Bieber has the cash to spare, it was probably done by a professional (with lots of bleach, before being toned/dyed). But if you want to replicate the look at home, and you already have quite light hair, brands like Bleach London and Lime Crime do semi-permanent dyes where you can get the same kind of effect.

Bieber isn’t the only famous man to go for the candy shop hue. Last year, Zayn Malik debuted pink spikes and Jaden Smith has already rocked similar bubblegum tones. We’re all for it. The more, the merrier.
