The love between model of the moment Gigi Hadid and former One Directioner Zayn Malik is undeniable. From Gigi donning her boyfriend's name across her tee to Zayn supporting her at the Tommy Hilfiger show in New York, despite his anxiety.
But what we didn’t expect was for Zayn’s northern roots to rub off on the Los Angeles based supermodel.
In a recent interview with The Evening Standard, Gigi Hadid revealed how Zayn has led her to develop a newfound habit for ‘endless cups of tea’.
The 21-year-old model said, “I’m getting super into British foods. I’m loving Heinz baked beans in the morning and Z cooks a lot”.
Turns out beans are the key to a model's diet...
Gigi then went on to explain what first drew her to Zayn, other than his Yorkshire roots of course.
“We cook a lot together and do art together and we’re each other’s best friends,” she said. “We both feel we can talk about anything and learn a lot from each other.”
And the model, who is never one to shy from the topic of exes (her t-shirt emblazoned with the words, ‘lol ur not Zayn Malik’ was reportedly aimed at ex Joe Jonas), didn’t hesitate to reference previous relationships: “For the first time, we are both in a relationship where we have similar interests outside of work and that is really important”.
And with the news that Zayn is set to release his autobiography this autumn, we can’t wait for him to spill the beans on the latest goings on. Sorry.
