They may be one of the most genetically blessed pairs ever to grace the planet, but Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik's relationship isn't all about hitting the red carpet in custom Versace arm plates and starring together in #romantic Vogue photo shoots. Oh no. Because when this millenial power couple aren't shouting about their love through cryptic Snapchats, Instagram posts and 'lol ur not Zayn Malik' t-shirts, they're actually pretty normal.
In a new interview with Paper magazine, former Directioner Zayn revealed, 'I don't really enjoy going out too much and partying. I like to have my own time and be at home, and I kind of need a partner with me to do that. I just like the security of that. It feels good to me. It feels right.' Celebrities, they're slightly needy homebodies just like you!
And how does the singer prefer to spend his evenings with his chosen 'partner,' Ms. Hadid? 'We'll see each other tonight and probably watch a film. Netflix and chill. Yeah, we do that a lot.'
Sadly, Zayn doesn't divulge what's on the pair's shared 'watch list' (we're guessing the One Direction documentary This Is Us probably doesn't make the cut), or whether they've shared their Netflix passwords (the ultimate in 21st century commitment). However, what he does reveal is that when they're not huddled in front of a laptop screen, their favourite coupled-up activity is... horseriding!
'[My girlfriend] rides very well, and she has since she was a kid,' Zayn explains. 'She wants me to do it with her, and I'm not good. But I'm learning, and it's fun. My first lesson was on a really old horse that didn't move very much, so it wasn't that scary. She was on the other horse, the one that moved a lot more. She was jumping over hurdles and I just sat there like, "OK, this is freaky."'
