It doesn't take much imagination to see how a red carpet could be intimidating to an A-lister. The world's eyes upon you, a wall of photographers clamouring for your attention, journalists falling over themselves to ask questions, and a bank of fans screaming your name...
In spite of which, you have to remain calm and poised, look a million dollars (effortlessly), walk the right walk, talk the right talk...
Safe to say, that – glamour aside – the red carpet is more a nightmare than dream scenario.
One actress who certainly appears to find this, is Avengers star Elizabeth Olsen. Because in an interview with ES Magazine she made this shocking revelation: 'Sometimes when I’m not [wearing] something that I love I cry on the way to the premiere and I’m posing with my shoulders as far back as they go.'

Cry on the way to the premiere? Yes, that's right. No way near dream-like scenario...
Luckily for Elizabeth, in retrospect, it's usually a better experience. 'Then I look at the photos,' she said, 'and I’m like, “It did look nice. Why was I crying?”’
She 'hates' the red carpet – the article declared – and says of fashion in general: 'It’s not my comfort zone'... which is not exactly what we expected to hear from someone who's siblings include the uber famous twins thst set up the wildly successful (and highly-respected) fashion label, The Row.
But when it came to speaking of her sisters – Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen OVS – she offered nothing but praise: 'I just think they’re brilliant women,' she declared.
She also said, 'I just had dinner with Ashley when the premiere was happening. She was very sweet to come with me to the after-party.’
