Cara Delevingne is working on an important new series for BBC3, which will ask 'Why are some of us straight and some of us not? Is there even such a thing as straight?' Her TV series - with the working title Planet Sex - will explore 'the biggest questions in human sexuality' and will see Cara take part in experiments with famous sex researchers and visit cultures in which the gender binary is nonexistent.
‘I can only imagine what having a series like this would have meant to the 14-year-old me who struggled to understand feelings that were seen as non-conventional or different,’ Cara said, speaking about the show. ‘If our series helps one young person have an easier conversation with their parents, we will have achieved one of our many goals in making this series.'
Meanwhile, the BBC have described the show as a 'deeply personal, but also universally relevant series' and added that it will 'explore and address key questions related to our gender, our sexual orientation, our relationships, the popularity of porn, and more.'
The model - who identifies as pansexual - told Variety last year: ‘I always will remain, I think, pansexual… However one defines themselves, whether it’s "they" or "he" or "she", I fall in love with the person – and that’s that. I’m attracted to the person.’
Cara recently split from Pretty Little Liars actress Ashley Benson after nearly two years together. And Cara's best friend, Kaia Gerber, also recently revealed that the pair have matching 'solemate' tattoos on their feet.
