We were promised dancing, and dancing was delivered...
Adele dropped her new video to single 'Send My Love (To Your New Lover)' at the weekend and in it, we saw the mega star rock on to her own music.
No, not in a dance routine pop princess kinda way. More in a chilled swaying and dress swishing way – very Seventies festival, very hippie, very cool.
The video debuted at 2016 Billboard Music Awards – in which Adele picked up a whopping 5 awards, including Top Artist and Top Female Artist – and was met with raptuous applause at the end.
It opens with Adele in a floral printed silk-chiffon Dolce & Gabanna gown – sold out now, soz! – staring moodily at the camera, before breaking into dance as the beat picks up. Multiple images of her are then super-imposed on top of one another, to deliver an all-out kaleidoscopic effect.
It's actually mesmerising. Check it out below now...
On 16th May we wrote...
Adele has sent Twitter into a flurry of excitement with her most recent tweet, a 16-second clip teasing her new single Send My Love (To Your New Lover).
Set for release at the Billboard Music Awards on 22nd May, the song is Adele's third single from her record-breaking album, 25, and best of all, Adele has promised the video will feature dancing – her dancing.
'You'll not believe it, but I'm dancing in it,' Adele said to fans at a gig in Stockholm about the track. 'Can you believe it? Lost all of my inhibitions,' she continued.
In the teaser clip, however, we see no evidence of these 'unbelieveable' moves; only the songtress staring strongly at the camera, dressed in a long floral gown. As the camera zooms in, we hear her, via a voiceover, say 'Just the guitar, ok?', before the track's opening notes commence.
