If you haven’t head, the Spice Girls just closed their reunion tour with three concerts at Wembley Stadium. Who are we kidding, of course you’ve heard, it’s been all over everyone’s Instagram all weekend. Not least, Adele’s – who has been a long-time massive fangirl of the iconic band.

The legendary singer herself posted endless snaps at the Spice Girls concert, but it was her tribute afterwards that everyone is obsessed with. Sharing drunk pictures of her and her friends, as well as some pictures alongside the Spice Girls themselves, Adele spoke about how much of a dream come true it was to finally meet the girls. And more than that? Actually, get drunk with them.

‘Oiii last time I saw the Spice Girls at Wembley was 21 years ago! Tonight with my nearest and dearest I cried, laughed, screamed, danced, reminisced and fell back in love with my 10-year-old self,’ she captioned her post on Instagram, ‘It’s no secret how much I love them, how much they inspired me to run for my life and never look back. I finally got to meet Ginger, I got drunk with the girls and quite frankly I can’t believe how far I’ve come 😂 thank you for the madness I get to live, I couldn’t have got here without you 5 BRITISH legends! I love you!’

They say don’t meet your idols, but of course, getting drunk with them is a whole other story. If only to be a fly on the wall on that iconic night out. It will surely go down in Adele’s memory as one of the best of her life, having previously spoke about how much the girls inspired her to become a singer herself.

‘People always think I joke about this,’ she told Vogue in 2016, ‘but the Spice Girls blew up when I was seven. And seeing them coming from a humble background—there was hope in it. It was really a massive part of my life when the whole Girl Power thing happened.’

Honestly, we have so much to thank the Spice Girls for. Iconic music, an entire feminist movement and now, Adele. We’ll just have to hold out hope for the third reunion tour in years to come (maybe with Posh this time?!) for our own possibilities at a drunken Spice night out.
