You can always count on Adele to put on a great show.

Yes, she's one of the world's best-selling recording artists, but the London-born singer still has her fan-girl moments. See - she's just like us (sort of)...

As any well-respecting Adele fan will know, the 28-year old singer sights the Spice Girls as a major influence in her music career.

'It was a huge moment [for me] when they came out,' she revealed to James Corden this year, before covering their hit Wannabe during a Carpool Karaoke session. 'It was girl power. And they were just five ordinary girls who did so well – and just got out.'

'I was like I want to get out [too],' she said. 'I don’t what I want to get out of, I just want to get out. It was a really important period of my life.'

In fact, such was her devotion she’d even have Spice Girls parties at her house – by herself.

'I was always Geri,' Adele says.

And now, in a moment of true Adele-ness she's payed homage to the iconic 90s girl band in the best way ever.

‘Spice Girls!’ Adele shouts out to her fans during a concert in the Netherlands.

‘Oh stop it, I’m not a Spice Girl!' she laughs, before dancing and singing along briefly to Spice Up Your Life.

Her tribute to the five-piece did not go unnoticed – as Sporty and Ginger Spice IRL retweeted the video of her performance after a fan posted it on twitter.

Adele - your 10-year old self would be bouncing off the walls if she knew!
