ITV sports pundit Laura Woods has announced that she is pregnant with former Love Island star Adam Collard's baby. The pair shared the news with fans on social media over the weekend.
Laura Woods, 37, posted a photo of her pregnancy scan on Instagram with the caption, 'Hey, baby' and the couple's French bulldog can be seen in the background.
Adam Collard shared the same post on his Instagram page, where he has over one million followers, but the couple has chosen to disable the comments section.
The pair first confirmed that they were dating in October last year and have largely kept their relationship private, but more recently they have started sharing photos of each other on social media. In April, Laura shared a series of photos with the caption 'Things I love' and Adam was featured in several of them.
Earlier this month, Adam celebrated Laura's birthday on Instagram and shared photos of them together as well.
Speaking on the Getting Lippy Gossip Show on YouTube last year, Adam admitted that he didn't know who Laura was before seeing her commentate during the 2023 Women's World Cup – despite being a football fan himself. He said, 'I’d followed her on Instagram because I’d seen a Lionesses game or something like that and then I DMed her because she put, like, a funny meme on her Story.'
Adding, 'The funny part of the story is, for a football fan as well, I actually didn’t know who she was.'
The reality TV star, who appeared on series four of Love Island, previously said that he wants to get married and have children. 'I’m protective, whether it’s Laura, or my family, my friends. I want to get married. I want to have kids as well,' he said. 'I’ve always thought, what type of person will I be? How can I protect my kids?
'Obviously, I’ve never had a kid, but I don’t think I’ll be plastering it all over [social media]. I want them to have a fair fight and a chance not to be judged straight away.
'As long as my really close circle knows exactly who I am, I don’t care. I think you have to take everything with a pinch of salt.'
Adam received a great deal of backlash for his behaviour after his first appearance on Love Island, and again when he returned to the show in 2022. His behaviour was criticised by viewers and led to Women's Aid issuing a warning about spotting signs of abuse. He now works as an online body coach.
Meanwhile, Laura rose to fame in 2016 when she started presenting for Soccer AM while covering the Euros. By 2018, she was a regular Super Sunday pitch-side presenter for Sky and in 2023 she joined ITV.
The baby will be both Adam and Laura's first child.
