Does Holding An Ice Cube Over Your Spots Have Any Effect? Here's What A Pro Had To Say:

According to one of Grazia's go-to skin experts, aesthetic doctor and founder of Illuminate Skin Clinic Dr Sophie Shotter there are benefits to be found in icing your spots. 'Just as we know that ice is a useful treatment when you've sprained your ankle the same principle lies behind its use in treating spots.' Tell us more! 'If you have an angry pimple there is likely to be a significant amount of inflammation present. Ice will help to constrict the blood vessels around the spot, helping to reduce that inflammation. This will make the spot appear smaller but not disappear. It's a great quick fix if you're after one though.' Duly noted. Just remember to wrap your ice cube in a very clean flannel or clean tissue like Molly-Mae before you hold it to your skin.
