We're not ashamed to admit that we are huge Emily in Paris fans. From Emily's picture-perfect French girl fringe to her love for all things Augustinus Bader, it's fair to say the Netflix show always provides some excellent beauty tips and tricks. It does, of course, help that Emily is played by the actress Lily Collins, who has starred in countless beauty campaigns for Lancôme. So, when Collins endorses a product, we like to pay attention.
Arriving on the red carpet of the Season 4 premiere of Emily in Paris, Collins was all elegance, clad in a classic black Armani Prive gown with her hair in a sleek, shiny bob.
While the bob really did look great, it was Collins' skin which we wanted to know more about, as it looked incredibly glowing and radiant. Good news, then, that her make-up artist Fiona Stiles isn't gate-keeping. Interestingly, there's one priming product in particular that Stiles used – and it's a new launch that we've been excited to try, too. Stiles says the secret was 'patting on a layer of Merit's new Great Skin Priming Moisturiser,' which, as it turns out, already has a waitlist of over 5000 and counting. But what is it about this product, exactly, that has beauty buffs the world over this excited?
Merit emphasises the importance of its 'weightless formula' that absorbs quickly into skin with zero residue - great news if you're someone who hates stickiness. There's also hyaluronic acid to hydrate and oat extract to soothe, then there's the brand's trademarked 'Great Skin Complex' derived from food waste. The blend of peptides, spermidine, and polysaccharides are sourced from a by-product of arctic micro-algae and work to plump, aid elasticity and firm. The perfect finishing touch? Biomimetic emulsifier - which works to create Collins' 'blurred, cashmere-like finish.'
