Model turned beauty entrepreneur Miranda Kerr recently caught up with singer Katy Perry to talk all things skincare and wellness. A must-watch for all of you beauty fans out there, the two friends chatted over Instagram live on everything from adult acne to celery juice as well as Miranda’s latest launch from Kora Organics, which Katy has fallen head over heels for. ‘One of the great things about being close with Miranda is that I get to try out all of her great products,’ says Katy in the video, ‘you gave me this new moisturiser and it has changed my skin game so much.’
The moisturiser in question? Kora Organics Turmeric Glow Moisturiser, £44. Two years in the making, Miranda set out to create the crème de la crème of all face creams. ‘What’s interesting is that you and I have different skin types, but we both want that glow,’ says Miranda, ‘it’s incredible to see the same results for all different skin types.’ Both revelling in their healthy glow – Katy says it has completely changed her skin. ‘After I use it, people ask “what facialist do you see?” or say that I am glowing,’ she says.
The star ingredient is turmeric which Miranda included because she’s obsessed with anything brightening. ‘I’ve had pigmentation pretty much on and off ever since I had Flynn,’ says Miranda, ‘and turmeric really helps with that.’ As well as turmeric, the moisturiser contains liquorice root, passionfruit oil, rosehip oil and noni oil. For Katy, who’s experienced adult acne in the past, she’s often steered clear of heavy moisturisers. ‘I thought, oh I’m going to get these cystic zits underneath my skin that I can’t even pop to get out,’ she says, ‘you can’t see that they’re there, but they are there, and I would get them from oil on my skin.’ For this reason, Katy previously reserved heavy moisturisers for her body. ‘I was nervous to try it, but I leaned in and there’s no zits or spots, it makes my cheeks rosy after I use it.’ And clearly, as proven by both women, it gives your skin that glassy, luminous glow.
