Poppy Jamie founded the meditation app Happy Not Perfect and hosts the Not Perfect podcast to boot. Here she talks exclusively to Grazia in the latest edition of The Feelgood Files about all the little things that she knows are a sure-fire way to boost her mood.

The song I listen to when I need a boost: ‘Good As Hell’, by Lizzo, always, on repeat, and have a dance party to it.

The book I can’t put down: Untamed by Glennon Doyle Melton.

My go-to feelgood recipe: Banana bread for a sweet treat (usually with coconut sugar and gluten free flour to avoid refined sugar and gluten as I’m celiac).

The Instagram account that brings me joy: @Happynotperfect and also @Wearenotreallystrangers and @RupiKaur_ - oh and @GaryJanettidoes make me giggle!

What never fails to make me smile: Suki Waterhouse, she really makes me giggle every time.

My go-to supplement: Magnesium every night before I go to sleep. Most of us are deficient in magnesium as our busy lives leave us needing more (one study suggests that up to 75% are not meeting their recommended intake)! I find it TRULY INCREDIBLE as a body and mind relaxant and also helps my digestion. Could not recommend more, I live for it.

My favourite at-home workout: My physical workout, FIIT app – love, love, love it. Also @forward_Space on Instagram is a New York dance work-out and they are epic to follow along to on their Insta-lives. As far as a mental workout goes, the Happy Not Perfect app - I complete a happiness workout every morning.

Our greatest battles teach us our most valuable lessons, and I truly believe everything comes good in the end

My feel-good at-home beauty routine: A hot bath and a face-mask.

My failsafe face mask: Votary’s Super Glow Mask, £45, and the Irene Forte Pistachio Face Mask, £109.

Another song that makes me smile: ‘Only For A Moment’ by Lola Marsh, I’m Obsessed.

The smell that lifts my mood: Lavender!! My parents have a lavender farm, so it reminds me of home.

The movie I’ll happily watch again and again: Mary Poppins.

The Netflix show I tell everyone to watch: The Mind Explained.

My happy place: Home or anywhere by the ocean. An ocean breeze is so grounding and life affirming.

A final feelgood note from me: Our greatest battles teach us our most valuable lessons, and I truly believe everything comes good in the end, and if it isn’t good yet, it’s not the end. Keep going you sparkle of light.
