Winter has set up shop and it's written all over our faces. Dry skin, chapped lips, redness, increased sensitivity - it's all due to the dip in temperatures. The solution? While there's no magic cure-all, one product that has appealed to the masses this month is Egyptian Magic's All-Purpose Skin Cream, £13. It's an established cult classic and you'll likely recognise its distinctive blue and red tub from your social media feed.
The popular cream counts several celebs as fans, including Kate Hudson, Ashley Benson, and Cara Delevingne. In a 2017 interview with Teen Vogue, Delevingne revealed that she always carries a small tub of Egyptian Magic All-Purpose Skin Cream in her handbag.
John Lewis have reported that sales of the multi-purpose cream shot up by a staggering 390% last week. Keen to find out more about the formula behind the hype? Read on:
What can I use Egyptian Magic for?
The brand promote a whole host of uses including using it to moisturise, to nourish scars, condition hair, and sooth lips. The formula is made up of a blend of oils, beeswax, and honey. It's essentially a thick balm and doesn't feel unlike vaseline when you first touch it. It melts a little as you rub it in though, and you're left with something more akin to an oil.
Reviews tout it as a great moisturiser and it works particularly well as a lip balm, a heavy duty moisturiser for knees and elbows, a hand and cuticle cream, and even a highlighter. Dab it onto the top of your cheekbones to mimic a post-facial glow.
