Kourtney Kardashian was ahead of the curve - she even got engaged wearing the manicure trend, and then there's Olivia Rodrigo. Blackout nails are all about swerving elaborate nail art and dainty french tips in favour of a dark shade of minimalist - a black nail polish and an ultra glossy finish. It's a popular look. John Lewis recently reported that their black nail polish sales were up a staggering 435% on last year.
