What we know: Years in the making, Jones Road seems to have cracked all our pet peeves with mineral sunscreens, read: a heavy finish and white cast on medium to deep skin tones. The Jones Road Everyday Sunscreen seems to correct all those wrongs with a formula that leaves skin looking so good you could forgo foundation.

It also means I don't need to dip my fingers into a tub, which usually awakens the germophobe in me and leaves the tub a slippery mess. The formula itself glides on like a dream, no thanks to the humectant-rich, watery content, which makes it spread like water (not butter) and leaves my skin feeling quenched (not drenched), sans that heavy, sticky feeling. What we know: Simple's new SPF contains Gluta-Amino, the brand's newest patented technology developed off the back of an impressive €3.2m investment by Unilever. Designed to 'support the skin’s natural production of its master antioxidant and detoxifier,' a study published in the Journal of The European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology confirmed that it really works- increasing skin’s glutathione levels, reducing free radicals, and protecting against key environmental stressors including blue light and pollution. All well and good. But in basic terms? Essentially, this SPF helps to protect skin from the harmful effects of UV, defend skin against damage cause by blue light and pollution and even help reverse damage.

I have oily, sensitive skin so I find that a water-based cream tends to play best - it hydrates without overwhelming. While there is camellia oil in there (ideal for soothing) it’s balanced beautifully with the addition of hyaluronic acid which offers a hefty hit of moisture.
