Daisy Edgar-Jones teamed up with Hourglass, the cruelty-free beauty brand, to produce a make-up tutorial in which she creates the perfect everyday look for a video call. 'I recreated the make-up I’ve been wearing for all of my virtual press interviews,' says Edgar-Jones. She used a range of Hourglass products, including the popular Hourglass Unlocked Instant Lash Extensions Mascara that she wore for the BAFTAs, which is still selling like hot cakes.
While the actor treats us to an insight into her make-up routine and useful techniques, she also mentions a few handy tips from her mother and Normal People's make-up artist, Sharron Doyle. Scroll on down to find out more.
Blusher Advice From Normal People's Make-up Artist
'Blusher was used quite a bit by my make-up artist on Normal People, Sharon, to help tell the story of Marianne ageing from 17 to 22,' explains Edgar-Jones.
'So, for the younger Marianne, not only would she put the blusher on the apples of the cheeks but she would also bring it down to this sort of area [pointing to the bottom of her cheeks], to give that overall flushed youthful complexion which I thought was a really handy trick.'
Make-up Advice From Daisy Edgar-Jones' Mother
The advice from her own mother is more about balance. 'My mum always said that if you're choosing to do big eyes, you have to do very natural lips. Or you can choose to do big lips and natural eyes.'
