As we embark on our second lockdown of the year there's something weirdly nostalgic about Lockdown 1.0. Remember the banana bread? Wait, remember Normal People?! Daisy Edgar-Jones' portrayal of Marianne had us hooked and Googling fringe styles like nothing else. According to hair guru and hairstylist to the stars Larry King, it's no surprise that we're all obsessed with Daisy Edgar-Jones' fringe right now. Daisy Edgar-Jones' Hair Colour
Although for the majority of Normal People Daisy Edgar-Jones' character Marianne boasted a glossy conker brown hair colour, Daisy has been known do dabble with balayage IRL. Needless to say - as balayage involves taking your hair lighter - for us, it's a pro-only arena, but one that's well worth booking in for once we're out of lockdown as it's a seriously low-maintenance colour option. 'The word Balayage is French,' continues Francesca, 'and means to "sweep" or to "paint", which is the literal approach to the technique used. The Balayage technique involves hand painting hair in a sweeping motion with a brush which creates a sun-kissed, natural colour that once grown out leaves a softer, blended and less noticeable regrowth line!'
