As a certified member of Gen Z I look at the noughties makeup trends and can't help but think that there was a serious case of makeup blindness going on. Sorry, not sorry! Anaemic lips with the texture of cement is the image reference the aesthetic calls to mind so you can imagine my shock when I saw that the pale pout cropping up on my TikTok and Pinterest accounts. However, there's a key difference to the OG look popularised in the 2000s; far from being a brash statement, concealer lips in 2024 are subtle and muted. In fact, I'm quite tempted to give the look a go myself.
