Rejoice! The Emmys are back and this year they have an IRL red carpet. Sure, last year's live streamed show did provide some entertainment (Zendaya making Emmy history and the wildly anticipated Friends reunion), but there's nothing quite like the allure of an actual red carpet event.

This week has been rife with beauty inspiration. There's London Fashion Week for a start, which always serves up a steady stream of noteworthy editorial looks and then there's the Emmys, an event that perhaps offers a slightly more accessible level of glamour. We've rounded up all of our favourite makeup looks from the event for your viewing pleasure. Look out for Taraji P. Henson's stellar nails and Michaela Coel's graphic eye look? Unrivalled...

Gillian Anderson dazzled on the red carpet. British makeup artist Amanda Grossman used exclusively Charlotte Tilbury on Gillian, including the new Super Nudes collection. The signature peachy hue on her cheeks comes from Charlotte Tilbury's Nudegasm Palette.

Anya Taylor-Joy

We're obsessed with Anya's red lip. We weren't surprised to hear it was Dior's iconic 999 Lipstick, the perfect true red. Her shade of blonde is also worth a mention: the perfect mix of honeyed blonde and sunshine yellow, it gives us old Hollywood, Marilyn Monroe vibes.

Kerry Washington

We've waxed lyrical all the benefits of a classic ponytail look and Kerry Washington has hopped on board the bandwagon too. Pulled back and with a middle parting, the look accentuates her features and that beautiful scarlet red lip in the very best way.

Michaela Coel

Michaela won Best Writing for a Limited Series for I May Destroy You . As the star took to the red carpet our eyes were trained on Michaela's dual eyeliner: a black feline wing, with a neon yellow traced above to match her dress, all created by her go-to make-up artist Bernicia Boateng.

Yara Shahidi

Today, we're saying thanks to Yara Shahidi's makeup artist (Emily Cheng) who has detailed all of the products used to create Yara's Emmy's look in an Instagram post. There's so much to love about it, but it's the eyeshadow that has us hooked. Emily used the pine green shade Clover 280 from Dior - it's one of the most wearable green shades we've encountered.

Emma covered her hair for the Emmy's this year, and let her eyes do the talking. One flash of this yellow gold shade across the lid looks endlessly modern and minimalist all in one.

Kaley Cuoco

We've fallen hard for Kaley Cuoco's look on the Emmy's red carpet, especially her tousled hair: polished, yet a little undone. Full marks from us.

Taraji P. Henson

We'll be lusting over Taraji's glow-laden skin for some time to come. And her nails. We love the alternating textures of each nail, and those eye-catching diamond accents in particular.
