Is there anything Rihanna can't do? Since dominating the music industry after emerging in 2005, she has gone on to shake-up the beauty sphere with an inclusive line of make-up products that set a new bar and she even made us rethink our underwear drawer with Savage X Fenty. And now, the business tycoon has her sights set on your hair with her latest venture: Fenty Hair.

Having launched on 13th June 2024 to much acclaim, Fenty Hair has made its latest move into Selfridges, where Rihanna's covetable haircare range was made available to buy from 3rd September. To celebrate, the singer took to Selfridges London on Monday night to welcome partygoers and brand fans to Mane Street, the brand's new pop-up situated at the flagship's iconic Corner Shop.

'The UK holds a special place in my heart, and I’m thrilled to be launching Fenty Hair internationally first into Selfridges. I can’t wait for our UK community to discover the right products for their hair types in real life on Mane Street,' Rihanna said.

Available to visit from 3rd-28th September, Mane Street is an immersive re-creation of the fictitious stylish street featured in the brand's campaign video, which comes equipped with its very own salon, flower market, Fenty Hair supply store, ice cream stand and Gloss Bomb shop.

The salon, aptly named the Hair Heaven Salon, offers up a real chance for you to get to grips with the new collection of products and be guided in choosing the right ones for you. Boasting four hairdressing stations, customers can book 1:1 consultations and styling services with their very own Fenty Hair Stylist, all for £35, which is fully redeemable against any Fenty Hair product. What's more, you can opt for any look within the Fenty Hair Styling Menu, which includes everything from Bantu knots to snatched ponytails and even a fade refresh.

Be warned, the pop-up wont last forever, so get there while you can. Customers can pre-book their appointment via the Selfridges website and each day a number of appointments will be held for walk-ins, subject to availability. Oh, and speedy Fenty Beauty touch-ups will also be available at the end of styling sessions, of course.

There's good news for those not based in London, too. The pop-up is also available to visit at to the Dome Site in Manchester Trafford Centre from 9th-22nd September, and then at the I-Site in Selfridges Birmingham from 14th-27th October.

What is Fenty Hair?

Taking to Instagram on 4th June, Rihanna posted a minute-long teaser of what to expect from her new hair-focused line, with the caption, 'A new family is moving in! @fentyhair is pullin' up and it’s time to finally have the hair experience you’ve been waiting for.'

Naturally, the star's business move was paired with the presentation of a brand new cropped, pixie iteration of the strawberry blonde look she's been sporting of late – a true testament of her penchant for hair shapeshifting, which she reveals as the key motivator for the launch.

'You know how much switching my hair up matters to me. I’ve had almost every texture, color, length, from weaves to braids to natural - so I am launching a flexible line of products for not only every hair want, but every single product is designed to strengthen and repair all types of hair, which is what we truly need! It’s time to play and get stronger by the style.'

Are we surprised by Rihanna's ever-growing list of accolades? Absolutely not. Back in April, while speaking on the red carpet of a Fenty Beauty event about whether she prefers braids or extensions, Rihanna said, 'I'm both, I want to go into braids soon but like, I have a lot of hair stuff to shoot,' she teased.

We know @bagalriri is a big beauty gal, having already dominated the make-up and skincare markets with products that disrupt homogeneous beauty standards, and from what we can see, Fenty Hair is of the same making.

When does Fenty Hair launch?

Fenty Hair launched on 13th June 2024.

Where can we buy Fenty Hair?

Rihanna has long had a big UK market base, whether it's Fenty Beauty or Fenty Skin you're shopping. When the new hair line launched, it quickly made its way into retailers where the rest of the Fenty fam already reside, like Boots and Harvey Nichols.

As of 3 September, Fenty Hair was made available to shop at all Selfridges stores, including London Oxford Street, Birmingham Bullring, Manchester Trafford Centre, Manchester Exchange.

What can we expect from Fenty Hair?

When the brand first launched, we went through Fenty Hair's announcement video with a fine toothed comb (pun intended) to draw out all the intel we could. The candy-coloured video, which captures Rihanna wandering through Fenty-Land, showcases hair in all its glorious forms. There are braids, waves and straight lengths; fiery red heads, blondes and brunettes; as well as children with afro textures and curly golden locks, not to mention a grey-haired man on his lawn rocking an Elvis 'do.

The message is loud and clear, if there's one thing to expect, it is the fact that Fenty Hair is for all hair types, textures, colours and ages. And the packaging? A dopamine-inducing collection of pastel-toned bottles that will instantly spark joy.

The new line up of nine reparative haircare and styling products, including shampoo, curl cream and edge control gel, is powered by the brand's proprietary complex Replenicore-5 which is clinically tested to repair, strengthen, hydrate, smooth and protect. Made up on five key components – namely hydrating Barbados gooseberry, protein-building amino acids, antioxidant-rich green tea, upcycled jackfruit, and hydrolysed vegetable protein – the clever formula works to penetrate hair cuticles to heal from within. The result? Less breakage and healthier hair, AKA the perfect foundation for a more playful approach to styling.

Welcome a gentle cleanse that works hard to lightly nourish and refresh while repairing split ends and reducing breakage. It smells divine thanks to warm amber floral notes and emulsifies into a rich lather to amp up the lux factor.

Dry, damaged, or compromised hair is quickly remedied by this deeply reparative treatment which features bond-building technology. Working from the inside-out, it aids damaged keratin structures and strengthen strands, leaving hair smooth, soft and revived. Plus, it can be left in or rinsed out, depending on the level of care your hair personally needs.

Hello, all-in-one travel buddy. This under 100ml cream works as a universal hair prepping tool, protecting against up to 232°C heat styling and is equally brilliant at smoothing, detangling and hydrating.
