When searching for our own individuality, where better to start than with the best perfume? Arguably one of the most personal things in your life, perfumes can evoke a range of emotions, take you back in time and empower any outfit. Finding your unique scent may seem like a daunting task, but trust us, it is possible. If there's one perfume I keep going back to, it has to be Gucci Flora. Since buying this perfume years ago, I was instantly hooked and never looked back. Did I mention it won a Grazia Beauty Award? It's a good one.

Gucci Beauty is known for its trailblazing fragrances, notably Gucci Guilty is one of those iconic scents we all recognise. For me, Gucci Flora is one of those fragrances I'm guaranteed to get compliments on when I wear it - I've worn it so often, even my friends and family associate this scent with me. So, when I saw that the brand had launched an intense version, I had to get my hands on it. Of course, the likelihood of falling for this scent is high, but I still need to say it out loud: I'm obsessed.

As soon as Gucci Flora Intense landed on my desk, I had a spritz straight away. I love a floral, yet sweet scent, in which the original version ticks all the boxes.

So, what do I think? Of course, this perfume is reminiscent of its sibling, but the deeper hues and more musky tones attracted me instantly. Although I typically love a lighter, floral fragrance, the more intense scent is perfect for evenings or as we start to think about (dare I say it?), autumn.

I could wax lyrical about this perfume (and the original) for hours, but I'll spare you. Instead, let's examine the tones and ingredients contributing to this new, rich yet floral fragrance. This scent blends hedione, sandalwood, gardenia accord and mandarin. Although the original is also formulated with gardenia, the distinction between the two is down to the fact that Gorgeous Gardenia is blended with brown sugar and jasmine, making it much sweeter.

The original will always hold a firm place in my fragrance collection, but this new launch has made its way to the forefront of my dressing table. I believe fragrance can completely upgrade any outfit, and when I'm looking for a deeper, dressier and sophisticated scent, this is what I'll pick up.
