Good news The Traitors fans, it appears that we’re going to be seeing a lot more of Claudia Winkleman and her iconic outfits on our screens, because Ardoss Castle – where the hit series is filmed – is said to have been booked by the BBC for the next six years.

Yep, apparently we’re going to get six more series of The Traitors. Has someone told Claudia yet?

According to a TV insider, the BBC made the decision after The Traitors’ overwhelming popularity in both the UK (6.4million people tuned in for the first episode of series two) and the US. The US version is filmed in the same location but with Alan Cumming in tweed and tartan instead of Claudia.

They told The Sun, ‘The ultimate nightmare would be if the producers tried to return to Ardross Castle after the Beeb commissioned more series only to find it was unavailable.

‘That’s a very real prospect as the Highlands pile is in huge demand for weddings, which have swelled in numbers since The Traitors became so popular. Without taking this bold measure, it was at risk of becoming a victim of its own success.’

And they have reason to be nervous. Apparently after the US series of The Traitors aired, searches for flights to Scotland grew by 159 per cent!

The 19th century castle – beautiful in the daylight, completely terrifying in the evening when viewers are left with cliff-hangers as to who the Traitors have decided to murder – boasts 100 acres of parkland on the banks of River Alness, right near the Loch Ness.

In 2022, Ardross Castle became the home of the BBC series The Traitors and honestly we couldn’t imagine the show being filmed anywhere else. A turret for the Traitors to discuss their devious plans? Check. A bar to fill the poisoned chalice? Check (RIP Queen Diane). Acres of outdoor space for the daily challenges? Check. A room with a round table perfect for making accusations? Check. Where else could offer the same?

So, if you’re a fan of The Traitors, you’re in luck. If you were planning on getting married at the iconic venue before 2030 however, you might need to rethink things.
