We didn’t expect the Kardashian’s to stay out of the reality TV spotlight for long. When Keeping Up with the Kardashiansended after 20 season’s, it felt like the end of an era. However, it looks like we are stepping into a whole new exciting era with their new show on Hulu.
Let’s face it - the Kardashian’s lives are never boring. But now more than ever, we want to see their reactions to the headlines. This could be the best series ever; from Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's engagementand their dynamic with Scott Disick, to Kylie Jenner's pregnancy and the fallout from Astroworld. We could also see more about Tristan Thompson's new cheating allegations and the Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidsonand Julia Foxsaga. It’s just too much! If the stories in the press are anything to go by, this show is going to be wild! Here’s everything you need to know:
When will the Kardashian's new show premiere?
The wait might almost be over Kardashian fans. Last year, during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Khloé Kardashian hinted that the new Hulu show could drop early this year. She revealed, 'I think in a few months, either end of January, early February,' she said. 'That's the beauty of Hulu, we're streaming, and we get to have a much quicker turn around than previously. We're really excited.' We have also spotted film crew's in the background of many of The Kardashian's Instagram stories. We saw cameras from different angles after Kourtney and Travis got engaged- so, we're in for a treat.
What is the new Kardashian show called?
Hulu have kept to the point and simply named the show, The Kardashians. They have not revealed what format the show will take, it could be shorter mini episodes or full blown hour an a half episode's. In an interview with Wall Street Journal, Kim revealed the family will retain editing rights over the new show, and that the series will focus more deliberately on the family's business enterprises rather than solely family drama. “I think it will be a different side,' she admitted. 'But I wouldn’t say that our silly sides are not going to come out.'
Kris has also hinted at the Hulu show moving away from the original KUWTK format, 'This is the next chapter,' Kris shared at the May 2021 Disney Upfronts. 'In the new show, you’ll see us evolving as a family, fans want us to be who we are and since moment one, they’ve been emotionally invested in our show just like we are. The fans will love seeing us continue the journey. I can’t say much about what’s coming but spoiler, we’re going to look fabulous and everyone’s going to watch.'
Will the whole family be featured in the new Kardashian show?
It appears that the KUWTK regulars are signed on for the new show. This includes Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, and Khloé Kardashian. Rob Kardashian has been out of the spotlight for quite a while, and we don't think that will be changing any time soon. There is no confirmation for any ex-partner ( so no Kanye or Tristan) appearances. Of course, Scott Disick will be returning - but according to Us Weekly,he only agreed to do it for a ' large sum of money.'
However, it seems likely Travis Barker, Kourtney's new fiancé, will appear on the show. Kim revealed to host Ellen Degeneres, 'I honestly haven't talked to them about it, but I'm assuming because he's such a big part of Kourtney's life that hopefully they will be on.' The question is how will their new relationship dynamic will play out with Scott present?
Is there a trailer for the new Kardashian show?
On New Year's Eve, Hulu dropped a teaser trailer for the new show on Instagram. It showed a series of clips of women getting glammed up and walking in very high heels while the text 'when the countdown to the New Year ends the countdown to the new show begins' flashes on screen.
As the clip goes on there are split screens glimpses of Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie Jenner saying, 'Happy New Year everyone!'
