Watching And Just Like That, it can be hard to remember that Miranda Hobbes and Steve Brady were once a genuinely happy couple. Or that Steve - a fan favourite - used to be a confident, charming, interesting and funny man. But we are here to remind you: Steve used to be a catch, and Miranda and Steve - apart from maybe Smith and Samantha - were the best couple on the show.
In response to viewer's uproar, the writers actually had to respond to the backlash over the horrible storyline they gave Steve - that his wife will cheat on him (with a person who introduces themselves as 'Hey, it's Che Diaz!'), and that Steve will then forget how to have sex. (They also revealed that Steve's hearing loss was a reflection of David Eigenberg experiencing the same thing.)
But there were happier times. (If we're forgetting the fact that Steve cheated on Miranda in the first film, and sometimes it is easier to forget the films happened at all.) Times when Miranda and Steve were - quite frankly - couple goals. And who can forget how hard Steve worked to win Miranda's heart in the first place?
Anyway, here are just some of our favourite moments. Forget And Just Like That, Miranda and Steve will live on forever in our hearts.

Miranda and Steve's best moments
Did the pair reuniting on the Brooklyn Bridge in the first film mean NOTHING to the writers of And Just Like That? Potentially the best part of both films (though the less said about the second, the better).
Miranda and Steve's best moments
Nobody was surprised it was Miranda who asked Steve to marry her. In the most Steve moment ever, he says 'hell yeah!' after checking Miranda was being serious.
Miranda and Steve's best moments
The pair's wedding was low-key and adorable, taking place in a public garden they spotted shortly after Miranda popped the question. And of course Miranda didn't wear a dress to her wedding, she rocked a burgundy suit instead, which was designed by legendary costume designer Patricia Field.
Miranda and Steve's best moments
Their kiss in the rain when they first got together is the reason I still believe love exists.
Miranda and Steve's best moments
It's difficult to remember after that mortifying scene in And Just Like That, but Steve actually did used to know how to have sex. We can't believe they now have a sexless marriage when they had this before.

We're not crying, you are.

OK, so maybe Steve always has been clumsy. (But adorable.) We'll forgive him.
