The trailer for Selling Sunset series eight has officially been released and we're delighted to see that all of our fave LA-based realtors like Chrishell Stause, Bre Tiesi and Chelsea Lazkani will be returning to the show. Except for one notable absence... Heather Rae El Moussa is nowhere to be seen.
Now we're not completely surprised, Heather hasn't appeared on the hit reality show since she became a mum to the adorable Tristan in January 2023 and started working on a different reality show called The Flipping El Moussas on HGTV with her husband Tarek El Moussa, but every new series we're hoping she makes a dramatic return. Sadly that doesn't appear to be the case for series eight.
Despite not returning for Selling Sunset series eight, Heather Rae El Moussa has been keeping herself busy and is in full mum mode, not only to Tristan but also to Tarek's two children Taylor and Brayden - who he shares with his ex-wife Christina Hall.
Plus, the couple also have their own show to film: The Flipping El Moussas, which followed not only their married life, but careers as real estate experts.
We're still holding out hope for Heather to return, but - despite the fact that she seems to still be close with the rest of the cast - that just doesn't seem likely especially since she recently called the behind-the-scenes environment of Selling Sunset 'toxic'.
Speaking recently on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast she admitted, 'It was a blessing that I wasn't asked to come back because I'm so much happier filming my show with Tarek. We're co-producers on our show so we pick the hours. With Selling Sunset, I never knew when I was going to be filming.
'It was last minute, it took over my life, it was hard to do my real job, real estate. It was hard to do anything else. I was away from him all the time, I was away from our kids all the time. I'd be gone for like 12 to 14 hours some days. It was crazy. They just want more and more and more, and you saw me on the show. I pretty much was level-headed almost the whole time. I was kind of friends with everyone and I kept things pretty chill in my life.'
Heather then went on to describe Selling Sunset as 'very toxic' and explained, 'You're around a bunch of women that everyone wants to be stars on the show, you know, number one. And they'll kind of do anything.'
'I came home like, crying from the stress. You film it you go through it, it's your real life, and then the show comes out, you have to watch it, and then deal with the stress again, and then you have to hear from all the fans. You get attacked for almost everything you do because the fans are so vocal and on social media.'
