Made In Chelsea cast favourite Sam Vanderpump has announced he is expecting his first baby, after a whirlwind romance with fiancé Alice Yaxley, which saw the pair get engaged after just six months of dating.
Sam chose to share the news via a post on Instagram. In one of the pictures, he is kneeling to kiss Alice's tummy, while in another both of their hands touch a sonogram surrounded by flowers. He captioned the adorable post: 'Life is full of surprises, but this is the best one yet. I can’t put into words how happy and excited we are!'
The post was quickly flooded with congratulations from both MIC fans and the pair's co-stars. Made In Chelsea OG cast member Binky Felstead wrote: 'Ahhhh congratulations guys!!' while Reza Amiri-Garroussi penned: 'Congrats to both of you bro.'
The news comes after a dramatic year for the couple, which saw Sam hospitalised when his health rapidly deteriorated from liver and kidney failure. In an interview with OK!, Sam said: 'That experience brought us very, very close. I think I walked out of that looking at Alice and thinking, "This is the girl I want to marry." So, my thinking was, "If I’m saying that now, why on earth am I waiting?"' Sam even asked his MIC co-stars to help him plan the grand engagement.'
The couple met in 2024, and have been practically inseparable ever since with Sam popping the question in February this year.
What gender is Sam Vanderpump and Alice Yaxley's baby?
Sam and Alice have revealed they are having a baby boy. In an interview with The Mail, Sam shared the news, telling the outlet: 'We are having a boy. Where the pregnancy was so unexpected we didn't want any more surprises, so we took a blood test to find out.'
What has Alice Yaxley said about her pregnancy?
Both Sam and Alice have expressed the pregnancy was unexpected, especially since Alice has polycystic ovaries - a condition in which a woman's ovaries are unable to release an egg regularly. However, they are both delighted at the news.
'I had missed a period, but I have polycystic ovaries, so it wasn't a shock to have missed a period,' Alice told The Mail. 'But I did a test to be safe, and I wasn't expecting anything, but it was positive. It was a big shock, we looked at each other and thought, wow, this is big but everything else in our lives was so right.'
Are Sam Vanderpump and Alice Yaxley getting married?
Their relationship might be moving quickly, but fans will have to wait a little longer to see the couple actually tie the knot. Sam told The Mirror the wedding won't take place until 2027. 'We’re doing some things for the show and a cast celebration. But for the wedding itself, we like the idea of an intimate family wedding abroad, then a big reception party in the UK,' he said.
