The 12-part drama will follow best friends - and exes - Frances (Alison Oliver) and Bobbi (Sasha Lane), as the pair meet intriguing older couple Melissa (Jemima Kirke) and Nick (Joe Alwyn aka Mr Taylor Swift).
The synopsis for Conversations with Friends teases: 'Though they broke up three years ago, Frances and Bobbi are virtually inseparable and perform spoken word poetry together in Dublin. It’s at one of their shows that they meet Melissa, an older writer, who is fascinated by the pair. Bobbi and Frances start to spend time with Melissa and her husband, Nick, a handsome but reserved actor.'
'While Melissa and Bobbi flirt with each other openly, Nick and Frances embark on an intense, secret affair that is surprising to them both. Soon the affair begins to test the bond between Frances and Bobbi, forcing Frances to reconsider her sense of self, and the friendship she holds so dear'.
Where have we seen the Conversations With Friends cast before?
British actress Alison Oliver, who plays Frances, is new to the business (talk about a dream first job), but you may recognise her American co-star Sasha Lane from 2016's Bafta-nominated movie American Honey and the TV show Utopia. She's also appeared in music videos for Alicia Keys and Lewis Capaldi.
Jemima Kirke you'll know from playing Jessa in Girls and more recently as headmistress Hope Haddon in the third season of Sex Education. British actor Joe Alwyn has been in a relationship with Taylor Swift since 2016 (and has co-producer and co-written a number of her songs). He's previously had roles in The Favourite, Mary Queen of Scots and The Last Letter From Your Lover but Conversation With Friends could take his action career to a new level if he follows in the footstep's of Normal People's Paul Mescal.
Is there a trailer for Conversations With Friends?
Oh yes, there finally is a full-length trailer - which you can watch below. (We reckon there's going to be a few more Joe Alwyn fans after watching, we're just saying.)
When will Conversations With Friends air?
The drama will launch in the UK on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer on May 15.
