Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are back. The reality TV legends – whose show The Simple Life saw them become two of the first reality stars catapulted to international stardom – are doing it all again in a brand-new show called Paris and Nicole: The Encore.
Of course, a lot has changed in the 21 years since first episode of The Simple Life aired back in December 2003.
Both Paris and Nicole are now aged 43 and are both married. Paris married Carter Reum in 2021 and they share son Phoenix and daughter London, both aged one. Meanwhile, Nicole tied the knot with Joel Madden in 2010. They share daughter Harlow, 16, and son Sparrow, 15.
The show was first announced way back in May and, while many are counting down to Christmas, we’re more excited that we’ll be able to watch the new show as early as next week.
Paris and Nicole had been pictured filming the reality show in California in Sonic outfits and heels, as they got to work at the fast-food chain, before Nicole later changed into a hotdog costume to carry out her duties in what seemed like a throwback to the premise of The Simple Life, which saw the two socialites attempt to take on low-wage jobs purely for viewers’ entertainment.

What is Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s new show about?
It’s hard to see Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie together and not think of their iconic Sanasa song.
The duo would often sing the song – which literally consisted of just the word ‘sanasa’ over and over – when they were bored on their jobs. And now, they are attempting to turn the song into an opera.
In the frankly fabulous trailer for the new show, the announcer says, ‘Paris and Nicole are reuniting for their next big endeavour.’
The voiceover continues, ‘If there’s one thing that can be said about these two, it’s that they don’t give up easily. And in order to write their magnum opus, they must first revisit their past.’
The trailer then shows the duo flying to Arkansas to work ‘normal’ jobs once more.
When will Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s new show air?
The good news is that we don’t have long to wait at all until the show hits screens. In fact, the new series arrives in just a number of days.
Paris and Nicole: The Encore begins airing 12 December.

Now for some bad news…
For those of you in America, Paris and Nicole: The Encore will stream on NBC’s streaming platform Peacock meaning that you’ll need a subscription to watch it.
But for those of us in the UK, it has not be confirmed when, where or if the show will be aired.
