Some days finding reasons to be cheerful is tough - and some days they just land in your lap. The sun is shining (on and off), Spring looks kind of semi-sprung and it's been announced today that a third Paddington film, Paddington in Peru is happening.
Deadline reported today that the film will begin filming in July - though most other details are being kept under wraps.
There were fears that the film wouldn't be coming at all - the first two Paddington films were huge smashes, and Paddington 2, starring Hugh Grant was particularly a hit with critics and audiences alike. The films made more than $500M between them at the box office and were BAFTA-nominated.
The cast has yet to be announced, but Deadline says it's rumoured to include old and new faces. Ben Whishaw became the voice of Paddington for the first film and co-stars Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins and Julie Walters surely have to return too.
But there's some rumours that Florence Pugh could be part of the cast after she previously tweeted with the bear about marmalade and recently told Radio 1 she'd love to be in a Paddington movie.
Aside from that, the only smidgen of details we have is that (as the title suggests) the movie will see Paddington returning to his home for at least part of the action - we cannot wait. Which is annoying because we don't have a release date yet.
But, from his tweet, it seems Paddington can't wait either.
We know the story of the film comes from Paddington 1 & 2 collaborators Paul King, Simon Farnaby and Mark Burton but this time it'll be directed by Dougal Wilson, who is making his feature debut.
