Made In Chelsea Netflix spin-off

In May, our reality TV dreams seemed poised to come true, with all signs pointing to a Made in Chelsea Netflix spin-off starring some of our favourite faces from the past. In a suspiciously co-ordinated social media teaser shared at the time, Binky Felstead, Ollie and Gareth Locke-Locke, Rosie Fortescue, Louise Thompson and Sophie Hermann all posted pictures with each other alongside the caption 'watch this space'.

In a slightly bigger giveaway, Sophie tagged Netflix in the photo and the caption, so while there has been no update since May's subtle hints, it's still safe to assume that there's a potential new show in the works featuring some legacy cast members. Of course, the Instagram posts sent fans into a frenzy, with comments such as 'WHAT IS HAPPENING', 'take us back 15 years' and 'original cast reuniting?' flooding the posts.

Whether it's a series or a one-off reunion is still unclear, but Binky Felstead has spoken about wanting to create a 'Mummys of Chelsea' spin-off in the past. Earlier this year, she teased that everyone she'd spoken to about the idea was on board. She told Mail Online, 'We have started discussing doing something new… It will be a show about "what happened next?" or the "mummies of Chelsea" type of thing.'

Before adding, 'I have spoken to a few people and they have all said yes so far.'

'I always get asked "Is there going to be an OG reunion?" and people saying they would like to see the old cast back together,' she revealed. 'Me, Louise and Rosie are still super close, we always make time for each other for our girly lunches and dinners. We're like family. We have filmed the ups and downs of our lives together for the past decade and when we get together, if the walls could talk…

'I will not be returning to Made In Chelsea because my life is obviously completely different now, I'm a wife and I have three children and businesses, but we are in talks about doing something completely new. I feel like the new show would be a really interesting concept because I'm not interested in talking about who is cheating on who, we all have our own exciting and different lives going on… but not all of it will be happy all of the time.'

From the pictures shared earlier this year, it looks as though Olivia Bentley and Tabitha Willett might feature too, given that they are such close friends with Gareth and Ollie Locke. Several of the former Made in Chelsea stars who appear to be involved are parents now too, so that could well be the focus of the show.

Binky, who joined in series one in 2011, now has three children of her own – India, seven, who she shares with ex-boyfriend and former co-star Josh Patterson, and sons Wolfie and Wilder with her husband Max Frederik Darnton. Louise Thompson, who also joined the show in its first year, has a two-year-old son called Leo with her partner and former co-star Ryan Libbey, and Gareth and Ollie Locke welcomed twins Apollo and Cosima last summer.

As for whether the next generation of Chelsea-ites will feature, Binky was previously unsure. She said, 'I don't know about my children… I don't think they will be the main focus of the show. I need to think about that further. It's a discussion that Max and I would need to have.'

Meanwhile, heat raised the prospect of a Made in Chelsea spin-off with OG cast member Jamie Laing, but he gave nothing away.

He told the outlet he has 'no idea' if it's happening, adding, 'Maybe something's going maybe something's not. You never know with television, but I'm not involved.'
