As theLove Island final approaches, the remaining couples are one step closer to taking the crown. Shaq Muhammadand Tanya Manhenga coupled up on day one and since then they have had a very tumultuous journey full of ups and downs. After Shaq made Tanya his girlfriend during their romantic final date, they are perhaps at their strongest point in their relationship. But what do their family's really think about them together?
Grazia exclusively sat down with Shaq's sister Tahira and Tanya's mum Polite to talk about their relationship, dramatic moments and Casa Amor.

What’s it been like watching Shaq on Love Island?
It’s been pretty surreal. In the beginning it was like, he’s meant to be upstairs in his room, but he’s on TV?! I’ve got used to it now though.
What’s been your favourite moment of Shaq’s?
The heart rate challenge because of how he reacted to Tanya’s dance was so funny. To be honest, any moment he was being his silly goofy self was my favourite.
Have there been any moments you haven’t been able to watch and why?
I’ve watched every episode from the beginning, even the tough moments I’ve seen. But seeing him upset over the Casa Amor situation broke my heart. I could really feel his pain through the TV.
Do you think Shaq made the right decision waiting for Tanya during Casa Amor?
100%, because that’s truly who he is. He’s loyal to the people he loves. I’m glad he was fully himself and did what he truly felt.
What did you think of Shaq’s moves during the talent show?
It was very entertaining and funny, even if I did have to cover my eyes at some bits! The boy has moves for sure.
Shaq is happy to give his honest opinion to the Islanders in the Villa - is that what he’s usually like with his friends/ family?
Absolutely! That’s him to a T. To be honest that’s how we all were growing up; very honest and straight to the point, saying things others might not want to say.
If you could say anything to Shaq now, what would it be?
We are all so very proud of you, how you’ve carried yourself, been true to yourself 100%. And we love you infinitely.
Do you think Shaq Tanya can win? How will he feel to be so close to the final?
You never know what could happen in that Villa, never say never! He will be so excited to have made it thus far, as we all are.
How would you sum up Shaq as a person?
Incredibly loving and loyal, very outgoing and hilarious. Doesn’t take himself too seriously the majority of the time.
What have you missed most about him?
I’ve just missed seeing him every day. I’ve missed our talks in the kitchen and joking about together with our sister.

What’s it been like watching Tanya in the Villa?
We have gotten used to it now since we watch her every night. It feels like a very long time she's been in there.
What’s been your favourite moment of Tanya’s on the show?
All of them! But the talent show topped it - she's an entertainer and loves dancing.
Have there been any moments you haven’t watched and why?
The sexy challenges like the heart race challenge. As a mum it's not easy watching your daughter doing sexy challenges.
Did you know Tanya could dance as well as she did in the talent show? Has she always been good at performing?
Yes at home she dances all the time, she even teaches us.
Tanya is good at giving her opinion straight in the Villa - has she always been like that?
Yes she is very outspoken!
What do you think of Shaq? Do you think they are a good match?
We like Shaq and yes they are a good match.
What did you think when Tanya made her speech for Shaq?
That was a bold move that shows her true character, she always goes for what she wants.
They talk a lot about the future - can you see them moving in together after the Villa?
Yes, it's possible, as they seem to love each other!

She will feel blessed and thankful that she is in the final. We would love for her to win and are praying for her to win.
