It’s been revealed that Love Island’s Greg left the villa to attend the funeral of his nan - however, he has now returned.

In a statement, ITV said, ‘Owing to a bereavement, at the wishes of his family, Greg was away from the villa for a day to attend a funeral. Everyone at Love Island extends their sympathies to Greg and his family and we have since welcomed him back to the villa.'

His dad Niall O'Shea told Limerick Live 95, 'Greg is a very good family man and his mother wanted to make sure he was there because himself and his Nan got on well.'

A statement about his nan read, 'Monica Ho, from Limerick, passed away peacefully on 19th July 2019, in the care of Talbot Lodge Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.'

This series, Anton also left the villa for a day, after he felt unwell. At the time, show bosses said, ' After feeling unwell during the day, Anton spent the night away from the villa and is subsequently missing from tonight's episode. He has since returned to the villa.'

Amy Hart also decided to leave the villa, after having her heart broken by Curtis Pritchard. Speaking exclusively to Grazia, she said, 'If your place isn’t in the villa, you shouldn’t be there anymore because it’s a very lonely, harrowing place. Imagine if I’d stayed, shouting at Maura, shouting at Curtis, crying all the time, everyone having to look after me. No one wants to watch that, it’s not entertaining.'
