It’s all been leading up to this moment. This has been a whirlwind of a series and we have seen it all – from re couplings to dumpings (even dumping Islander’s after just 24 hours in the villa - savage).
We’ve watched islanders likeChloe and Toby go from being villains to the most loved islanders. This series also saw the most brutal Casa Amor recoupling yet.
But now it’s time for the penultimate episode, and we have all the details on when and where you can wave goodbye to another summer of love!
When is the Love Island final 2021?
The Love Island final is on tonight! - Monday 23rd of August 2021.
The final four couples – Millie Court and Liam Reardon, Teddy Soares and Faye Winter, Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank and Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran will compete to take home the staggering £50,000 prize.
What time is Love Island final ?
The Love Island final is on at 9pm on ITV2.
How long is the Love Island final?
The Love Island final will be on for just over an hour and a half - starting at 9pm and finishing at 10:35pm.
How does the Love Island final work?
The final is aired live, cutting to and from pre-recorded scenes in the 24-hour hours before the final.
There is no set timetable for the final as anything could happen, but from previous series usually we see…
Makeovers
Every year the finalists have a glam makeover in preparation for the final and declarations of love ceremony - the girls and boys are usually separated.
The girls are normally whisked off to get their hair done and choose a ball gown, as the guys pick out a smart tux.
Later in the evening there is usually a prom themed party where all couples see their other halves all dressed up. There is Champagne and dancing, as they all look back on their Love Island journey over the past seven weeks.
Declarations of love
Towards the end of the night each couple pen a letter, poem or song declaring their love for each other.
All the other couples are seated as each pair stands up and read’s their words aloud – usually there is not a dry eye in the house!
Live show from Mallorca
After the pre-recorded sections - from the makeovers, the party and decelerations of love, we are back with Laura Whitmore hosting live from the villa!
Usually, there is a live studio audience to cheer on their favourites, but due to COVID restrictions that may be trickier this year!
Laura normally sits each couple down to talk through their journey and show a video montage of their best (and worst) moments - before announcing the results.
She then announces the results in order with fourth and third first.
Then the final two couples are stood either side of Laura as she announces the results. The winning couple then have to decide if they want to split the £50,000 cash prize (if they came for love) or steal it ( if they only came for money!).
No one has ever stolen the prize money before but who knows with this unpredictable series…
How can I cast my final vote?
After last night’s episodes the votes were open on the Love Island app to choose your winner.
The Love Island app is the only way you can cast your vote, so make sure you have it downloaded on your device.
Don’t worry if you missed last night’s vote – there will be a second and FINAL vote during the episode tonight – so keep your eyes and ears peeled!
