We're nearly at the end of Love Island. And last night, as is tradition on the show, it was time to meet the parents/sisters/brothers/best friends. But unlike every other year, to keep Covid regulations in place, nobody was allowed to kiss or hug their family members. Yet luckily, they all still brought the theatrics.

First visiting the villa was Millie's mum Esme and sister Jessie and Liam's parents, Paul and Donna, who all seemed to get along like a house on fire - with Esme even telling Millie that she'd Googled how long it would take for Millie and Liam to meet up on the outside world (Millie in Essex, Liam in Wales - about three hours).

Teddy's visiting relatives were his lookalike brothers, Sidney and Carlos, meanwhile Faye had support from her sister Joanne and best friend Sophie. This did become a little bit awkward, though, when Teddy's brothers decided to call out Faye's behaviour, after the whole movie night debacle when she screamed and shouted at Teddy.

But then, the stage was set for the real family icons of the show. Tyler and Kaz had their families join the show, with appearances from Kaz's mum Malilwe and sister Banji and Tyler's parents Andrew and Janet. And Andrew became an instant hit with fans for telling Tyler that nobody compared to Kaz in Casa Amor, and then inviting her round for a family BBQ.

But then it was time for the most chaotic meeting off all, the merging of Toby and Chloe's family. Toby's sister Shauna and mum Victoria entered the villa, from Essex, along with Chloe’s mum Louisa and sister Bridie, from Bicester. And none of us could get over the energy from Chloe's mum, who told her daughter repeatedly how proud she was of her - and screamed that she was 'iconic'. (A lot of people have been comparing her to June George, Regina George's mum in Mean Girls, played to perfection by Amy Poehler - 'I'm a cool mom'.) But perhaps the funniest moment was when Chloe asked her mum and sister whether she'd been rude. Her mum replied yes, with her sister adding: 'How much sex do you need to have?' Awkward, but we loved it.

You can watch who gets crowned the winner of 2021 Love Island tonight on ITV2.
