Love Island Series 8 Islanders
Paige Thorne, 24 from Swansea - Paramedic
Paige says, 'I came out of a relationship and I was just so done with guys so was like, "Right, that's it. I'm going to focus on me." Then I was like, "Ok, I'm bored now, I'm lonely and I miss love and the connection and everything else." I've been on a few dates but I just haven't clicked with anyone.' Paige predicts she will be the one to bring good vibes into the villa: 'I'll bring positive energy, lots of bubbly energy. I am a good cook and I'm quite mumsy so I'll look after anyone that needs looking after.'
Dami Hope, 26 from Dublin - Senior Microbiologist
'I don't know if I will cause trouble, I'll try not to cause trouble but sometimes you don't intentionally cause trouble - but it happens!' Dami says. He's also quite the romantic. 'When I'm actually in a relationship, I think it's a star sign thing, I'm an Aries but I'm very passionate - I always used to put that person first. If they had something they wanted to do or something they were passionate about, I'd make sure that even if it's something I'm not talented at I'd get talented at it just so it helps them. I'm really good at being in a team and actually looking after each other.'
Indiyah Polack, 23 from London - Hotel Waitress
Indiyah says, 'I feel like I'm at a stage in my life now where I'm ready to meet new people and start dating properly. I have been single for some time and I feel like for my generation of people, it's quite hard to date without being influenced by social media and stuff like that. Love Island particularly is like a closed space and I think it is a great place to get to know someone one-on-one and build a real connection.'
Liam Llewellyn, 22 from Newport, South Wales - Masters Student (Strength & Conditioning)
How would Liam's friends and family describe him? 'If you ask my mum, probably a little s**t,' he says. 'No, I'm a good kid, she knows that. They'd probably say quite generous, quite caring, happy, chatty, chirpy, bubbly. I wear my heart on my sleeve.' Liam says he will get the girls by paying compliments. 'The thing that girls quite like is that I'm not just like, "You're mint." I'm like, "Your eyes are piercing, I'm lost in your eyes." Or I'll say something like, "You've got nice feet" or something.' Let's see how that one works out...
Davide Sanclimenti, 27 from Rome, Italy (but lives in Manchester) - Business Owner
Davide is ready for villa life. 'I think Love Island is going to be so much fun. I'm going to be the Italian stallion in the Villa,' he says. They love to be around me and I love to be around them. It's going to be fun, I'm looking forward to it. Davide is looking for something serious and long-term: 'I want to find my soulmate, find my person so I can actually build something in the future, grow with them, be a family.'
Tasha Ghouri, 23 from Thirsk - Model & Dancer

Oh, you know just former striker for Liverpool, Real Madrid AND Manchester United ...Micheal Owen! 'I've competed for Great Britain in dressage since I was 11 years old. Luca Bish, 23 from Brighton - Fishmonger
Luca is a relationship guy but he won't take out just anyone on a date, ' I prefer to meet girls out and about. I think when you go looking for it, it's not as easy though, it's like you're too desperate for it. If I think you're the one or I like you, I'll take you out on a date but other than that, if we talk and I don't like where it's going - then I won't be throwing out dates.' Why is he single? Luca says, ' I came out of a four-year relationship about a year ago. I was enjoying being in a relationship, there were just things I didn't like and we drifted apart.'
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, 27 from Essex - Actress
Ekin Su says , 'I’m looking for that real genuine spark and they just see me as me. I think the concept of the show brings back true and raw feelings.' Jay Younger, 28 from Edinburgh - Investment Analyst
Jay believes he will be the backbone of the villa - bringing everyone together. He said, 'I think I am going to be a supportive Islander, I think I am going to bring a lot of fun. I’ve got a good job, I think I am a good looking lad and I have a lot of fun so I feel like I could add a lot of value to their lives if they add a lot of value to mine.' Jay is not one to settle down easily so how will he do in the villa? Watch this space...
Danica Taylor, 21 from Leicester - Dancer
Danica is definitely not afraid to go after what she wants. She said,' I am definitely going to go in there and step on a few toes and I am more than happy to go after what I want. How would her friends and family describe her? 'My mum always says I am a bit of a princess, a bit dramatic and always thinks I am right, which is very true. My friends would probably say I don’t hide from drama or arguments and I am a good friend. I am very good with advice, I am quite wise beyond my years. For a 21-year-old, I’ve got a slight maturity about me which is quite good when giving advice to people.'

I think I’m ready to settle down, basically.' But who has he got his eye on in there? 'Ekin-Su, Paige and Tasha. But I’m keeping an open mind until I meet them. I might get on with someone I didn’t fancy before. I’m very much on the personality side of things and whether you vibe with someone. Ekin-Su is more towards my classic type. Paige seems like a very, very nice girl. Tasha seems like good fun as well. I find her quite intriguing - I want to find out more about her.
