This season ofLove is Blind has been a rollercoaster. However, after the last three episodes dropped on Netflix, all the internet is focused on was the dramatic break-up of Jackie Bonds and Marshall Glaze. Although they connected in the pods, the issues between the couple became very clear once they finally met face-to-face. Their engagement came to a halt after Jackie seemingly cheated on Marshall with another man she was interested in during the pod stage - Josh Demas.

Whilst Jackie's movements came across as very heartless, according to her, the show's editing is at fault and claimed that events actually happened in the opposite order than they were shown. Viewers watched Jackie miss her wedding dress fitting to meet up with Josh for a secret coffee. Fans were stunned when they kissed as her fiancé Marshall was increasingly confused about her whereabouts. Then viewers watched her break her engagement off with Marshall after the coffee rendezvous and keep the engagement ring he asked her to return. However, in an Instagram statement Jackie claimed that order of events reflects creative editing rather than what really happened.

After the episode aired, Jackie wrote in her statement that her date with Josh actually happened after she’s already ended things with Marshall. 'Marshall and I were broken up before I saw Josh at the coffee shop. I am wearing different clothes, my hair is styled different and at the end of the video I say "I DON’T KNOW IF I AM GOING TO BE WITH JOSH."' She added, 'I am not sure what the reason is for playing the coffee shop date before the break up.'

While her clothes and hair were indeed different between the scenes, the vast majority of Love Is Blind fans who replied to her post weren’t buying the rest of her message, calling her a 'liar,' and countering that the editing couldn’t have put certain words in her mouth.

For instance, at the café, before Demas arrived for their date, Bonds said, 'I haven’t talked to Josh since Chelsea’s party.' She and Glaze were still a couple (a rocky one) , the night of Chelsea Griffin’s birthday bash, so if the coffee date was her first time seeing Demas since then, that makes her corrected timeline difficult to understand.

Of course, it is possible she was referring to having seen him at the party rather than the coffee shop. But when commenters on Instagram asked her about the seeming discrepancy, Bonds had a different explanation.'They used audio from me and Josh at the coffee shop where I said, "I just saw Josh. I just left him,"' she commented under the post. 'That was said in my one on one interview after the date with Josh.'

The only problem with that allegation is that it wasn’t just the audio. When she said, “I just saw Josh,” she was on camera in the midst of the break-up conversation with Glaze.

Jackie also addressed the other another source of the internet backlash: the engagement ring. When Jackie and Marshall ended their engagement, Marshall asked for the ring back, but she refused to give it to him. In her post, Jackie clarified that Marshall didn’t buy the ring himself, but rather it was provided for them by production: 'Marshall did not pay for the ring, Love Is Blind paid for all the rings.'

Well, it appears there is still a lot of things to uncover about their messy break-up and Jackie has promised to 'bring the receipts' to the reunion. At least there, Bonds won’t have to be skeptical about 'getting a bad edit'. As Love Is Blind hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey recently announced, the reunion will stream live.

Find out if Jackie and Josh end up together (TikTok sleuths already have their theories) when the Love Is Blind Season 4 finale airs Friday, 14 April on Netflix.
