Ines Basic, perhaps one of Married at First Sight’s most memorable brides, is selling the wedding dress that starred in some of the most intense reality TV scenes in recent years. Last Monday, she revealed she will be selling the wedding dress she wore during her Married at First Sight ceremony.

The 31-year-old is selling the Darb Bridal Couture gown for 6000 Australian dollars on the popular second-hand wedding site Still White. While this is a big chunk of money, this is the lowest price this gown has been sold for on the website, according to Still White. The listing reads ‘Handcrafted by Brad at Darb Bridal in Queen St Mall Brisbane. Worn once for a TV show - Married at first sight. I had the blue colour as seen on the professional images of the dress changed to all white. Comes with the headpiece as shown in images and tule to wear underneath for extra volume - does not need to be worn though, if you would like it more simple and flat. Has been dry cleaned and is still in brand new condition.’

Basic said that 10% of the profits made from selling the gown will go to a charity organisation that commits to helping children in Bosnia - where Basic was born. Announcing the sale on her Instagram stories, she said ‘My dress has been sitting around in storage for years!’ and invited her followers to read the item’s details on a separate listing. While the dress is stunning - true white with a deep plunge, large waistband, full skirt and feather embellishment - we’re not sure brides-to-be would be happy with the bad memories associated with this dress.

Basic starred on season six of the Australian version of the popular reality show which sees participants matched with their dream partners, but they don’t meet until they are wed. She made headlines when the bride was left less than impressed with her husband-to-be when she met him at the altar. And after the ceremony, Basic wasted no time in making several cruel comments towards her arranged husband, and even made violent threats and homophobic comments.

‘When he smiled, I first wanted to punch him in the jaw. I don't know why, it was just like my instinct,' she famously threatened on the show. Continuing, she said to the camera, 'he said he had country boy charm? It just doesn't turn me on. I'm getting a very inbred vibe.' Basic then asked him to remove his ear piercing, telling him it would be better suited on a ‘lesbian working in McDonald’s.

The Married at First Sight star faced further, serious backlash from Married at First Sight audiences due to her problematic affair with MAFS co-star Sam Ball. In the show, which runs on E4 in the UK, Basic was married to her TV 'husband' Bronson Norrish, but they did not renew their vows and legalise the marriage once the cameras stopped rolling - a requirement to continue the marriage as the televised ceremonies are not official.

Basic then embarked on a steamy affair with Sam Ball, who also cheated on his TV wife Elizabeth Sobinoff. This led to Basic being known as the ‘most hated bride’ on Married at First Sight. Since Married at First Sight ceased filming, Basic was further scrutinised for starting an OnlyFans profile, something other reality stars and even soap stars have been unfairly criticised for. Now, she’s known as something of a ‘star’ on the popular adult content platform and has developed a pretty lucrative career from it. In July, she told the Daily Mail she'd made $80,000 since joining the subscription-based website.

Basic hasn’t revealed why she wants to sell her dress - maybe it’s just to get some extra cash! But with all the bad memories of the show in mind and the hate she received for her behaviour on camera, it’s unsurprising that Basic is looking to part ways with the gown, her last link to the show and a messy marriage that never would have worked out.

Despite the bad times Basic - and her husband - clearly endured, she’s shared a happy wedding photo of the two of them on the Still White listing! If you fancy wearing Basic’s feathery gown for your own big day, the details are here.
