Many were quick to point out that Ruth Jones also co-created and co-wrote the show, a fact that seems to be consistently erased when critics speak of the show’s success.
Of course, there were many more talking points as the show aired, with thousands taking to social media platforms to share their thoughts. With fans outraged by the cliff-hanger ending, many are calling for a fourth season to be made to satisfy our burning question: did Smithy say yes?
