Ever since Jennifer Aniston broke the internet (literally, Instagram broke) with a group shot of her chilling with her Friends co-stars last month, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive, with people speculating whether there’s going to be an onscreen reunion of Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Joey, Monica and Phoebe. And now, we’re getting our hopes up - as it has been reported that all six of the main cast are in talks for a reunion episode.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, lead actors Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are in discussions for an unscripted programme, which would air on HBO Max. However, a source told the publication that the reunion special is not a done deal and agreements with cast and creators are not completed.
On 27 October, Aniston told Ellen DeGeneres that the cast were ‘working on something’. The Morning Show star said, ‘We would love for there to be something, but we don't know what that something is. So we're just trying. We're working on something.’
We can’t imagine the cast would come cheap, though - as they still make a reported £16.1million from the repeats. Per year. According to The Scotsman, the eye-watering amount of cash is being pocketed through re-runs being shown on Netflix.
The iconic sitcom, which ran for 10 years, celebrated its 25th birthday on September 22.
