It all kicked off in the Love Island villa last night, with Casey receiving a full whipped cream hair mask treatment in the 'snog, marry, pie' challenge. As he finally broke the news to former partner Claudia that his head had turned and he was going to try things out with new girl Rosie, it made for a highly dramatic episode.
The week has been dominated by Casey's gradual change of heart once Rosie entered the villa. And Claudia hasn't taken it very well. There have been tears, shouting and lots of anxiety, all of which culminated in the 'snog, marry, pie' challenge where nearly every girl pied Casey – and Casey's best friends Will and Tom even pied Rosie (which didn't go down well either). However, by the end of the episode Claudia had the answer she needed, but not the one she wanted and it seemed like the tension in the air might get cleared.
Well, after hearing what's in store in tonight's episode, we may have had false hope. SPOILERS AHEAD!
In tonight's Love Island episode, Casey takes Rosie for a chat on the terrace and explains he has ended things with Claudia, then says as much as he'd like to be affectionate, out of respect for Claudia he won't be right away.
BUT the drama isn't done. In last night's show he addressed Tom and Will's decision to pie Rosie and said he felt like they didn't have his back and everything seemed to be resolved then and there. However, it seems that Jessie wasn't satisfied with how that conversation made Will feel. Tonight she pulls Casey for a chat and tells him that he didn't have a right to be offended by Will's actions and shouldn't have made them feel bad as they were just trying to support Claudia. Casey responds by asking why she is getting involved when all the dust had settled and those involved had moved on.
Later on in the episode, things seem to escalate further when Casey overhears Jessie talking about him in bed with Will and even says 'Get a life Jessie!' And it sparks a wider conversation in the group about whether Will and Jessie are genuine. Some surprising voices weigh in, including Maxwell.
When the Islanders head out into the garden to enjoy another evening, Casey catches up with Maxwell in light of the conversations he’s been having with Jessie. As they talk Maxwell says: 'When it was the Casa recoupling and Jessie came back and realised Will was single and she started crying the entire time I was looking for a tear and I couldn’t find a tear.'
We don't think that comment is going to go down too well either... so much for the peace we'd hoped for!
