If you can't believe it's been a whole year since you watched series two of Emily In Parisover a lockdown Christmas, then we've got good news: the first pictures from series three have landed and everyone is as impeccably dressed as ever.

And some exciting news: Alfie - the hot, sarcastic, British banker played by Lucien Laviscount is returning. Even better? He's been promoted to a series regular, meaning we're going to see even more of him than we did in season two. Ooh la la.

Anyway, here's everything we know about the series so far.

Is Alfie back for Emily In Paris season three?

Erm, yes! Something we're really very, very happy about. Lucien Laviscount confirmed the news on his Instagram, sharing a selfie of him eating pizza.

Talking to Grazia previously, Lucien said he loved filming the second series, and speaking about Emily - aka Lily Collins, who is an executive producer on the show - he said: 'She opened the doors with open arms and that filters down for the rest of the cast and crew.'

Who is going to be in the cast for Emily In Paris season 3?

Alfie is the only confirmed returning cast member, but we can assume that Emily (Lily Collins), Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), Mindy (Ashley Park), Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), Julien (Samuel Arnold),Luc (Bruno Gouery) and Camille (Camille Razat) will all be back. (If not, we won't be too pleased!)

What's the plot of Emily In Paris season 3?

Cast your mind way back to the end of season two, and Emily had to make a huge decision: will she stay with Sylvie, and join her new marketing firm, or will she fly back to Chicago and work with her old mentor Madeline? Obviously, we can expect that there's going to be more drama as Emily found herself confused about her feelings for Gabriel, the hot chef, and Alfie.

Lilly Collins pondered on the dilemma Emily is in, 'I think there’s pros and cons to each. I think Emily is blown away that [her boss] Sylvie would want her to come with her. And then at the same time, she now has found this relationship with Alfie and maybe she’d love to go to London. It’s only a Eurostar train ride away. So I don’t know.'

The show’s creator, Darren Star, explained that Emily’s future remains uncertain, telling TV Line in December 2021, 'She has reasons to pick a number of doors at the end of season 2, and our challenge is deciding which of those doors she’s going to choose and why. That’s what season 3 is going to be about.'

He added, ;When you live in a foreign country, one of the questions is, where’s your heart? Is it the place you came from, or the place you are at the moment? Emily is going to be struggling with that as well.'

Is there a trailer for Emily In Paris season 3?

Yes there is! Netflix released the trailer today and we just can't wait!

When is Emily In Paris season 3 out?

Netflix announced they will keep the festive tradition alive by dropping season 3 before Christmas. Emily in Paris returns on the 21 of December 2022!
