Curtis and AJ Pritchard

Curtis Pritchard is a man of many talents. From ballroom dancing to being ‘the person that gets up and makes everyone a coffee’ in the Love Island villa each morning, he’s done nothing if not entertain the nation with his one-liners and Latin moves.

After leaving Love Island, Curtis turned his hand to acting and landed a cameo role in Hollyoaks alongside his brother AJ. The brothers played a pair of conniving twins, Marco and Jacob, who were professional dancers (art imitates life) trying to sabotage Denise Welch’s character Trish Minniver’s dance contacts.

And, one year on, the internet still isn’t over the pair’s performances, which made ‘How’s Trish?’ into a household phrase. From the evil crossing of Curtis’s arms to AJ spinning around in a children’s playground during the scene, many people have noted the cameo is giving serious ‘GCSE drama’ vibes.

‘1 whole year since this aired,’ wrote Curtis’s fellow Love Island alumni Georgia Townend on Twitter. ‘Does anyone actually know how Trish is getting on? I think about her regularly.’

Even the permanent Hollyoaks star Kelly Condron, who plays Zara Morgan in the soap, celebrated the ‘how’s Trish’ anniversary (we’re starting to think May 11 should be a national holiday) by returning to the famous playground and re-creating the scene herself on TikTok.

‘But how IS Trish,’ questioned a viewer in the comments. ‘I’ll never get over this,’ wrote another. ‘This is iconic,’ claimed a third alongside a slew of other equally obsessed comments. 'At least Hollyoaks are acknowledging how bad it was,' added another.

Yet, despite the frenzied attention, Curtis and AJ weren’t made into full-time members of the cast and their final scenes aired in May last year.

The duo don’t seem to have been put off acting by the criticism of their performance though. ‘If someone's got constructive criticism, 100 per cent that's great,’ AJ said of the GCSE drama jibes to OK! Magazine. ‘But if it's just negativity then it's not something I'm going to waste my energy and time on.’

So, could AJ and Curtis be returning to screens this year?: ‘That was our first sort of “acting debut” on TV doing actual acting,’ Curtis told This Morning with glee. ‘I fell in love with it. Absolutely fell in love with it. So, I would like to do acting in the future.’
