One of the most discussed fashion moments of And Just Like That wasn't - for once - about Carrie Bradshaw. It was when Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda encountered (aka stalked) Big's ex-wife Natasha. During the third episode, we saw Carrie back to her typical insecure, obsessive self when she tracked down Natasha, after Carrie was shocked to learn Natasha had been left $1million in Big's will. But the chic Natasha - shock, horror - happened to be wearing flats, much to the dismay of Charlotte.
And now the writers have revealed why Natasha was wearing sandals - and it wasn't deliberate. Turns out Bridget Moynahan, the actress who plays Natasha, had actually ripped her Achilles tendon - so they wrote Charlotte's dig into the show, as Bridget couldn't wear heels.
'The other thing I want to say about the flats is that joke is only in the show because Bridget Moynahan had a massive Achilles tendon rip and was in recovery,' showrunner Michael Patrick King said on podcast And Just Like That, The Writers Room. Michael also revealed that Carrie herself, Sarah Jessica Parker, made sure Carrie and friends weren't too nasty to Natasha - as, of course, Carrie was the one who ruined their marriage. 'Sarah Jessica was very instrumental in reminding us when we were talking about it, that Carrie is the wrong one, in this scenario of Natasha and Big, Carrie busted up that marriage and Sarah Jessica wanted to make sure that Carrie kept saying Natasha didn't do anything wrong,' Michael continued. 'And then the show really became about [Carrie's] misplaced anger that she can't lay at the beatific, dead Big.' So, turns outCarrie isn't always the worst{
