These 9 Dream Family Holidays Are Now On Sale

Looking for the perfect family holiday with a bit of a difference? Try the Sunny Beach area, a beautiful five-mile stretch of Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast. The Tui Blue Nevis is all-inclusive (meaning there’ll always be something for even the most random of picky eaters) around a 10-minute walk to the beach and yes, we’re attracted to the kids’ clubs ranging from babies to teens, but the pool really captured our eye. The kids' splash zone is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser for younger ones and if you’ve got under-twos, there are also air-conditioned lounges by the pool stocked with microwaves and bottle warmers, as well as changing facilities. For the bigger kids, there are more pools and a multi-sport court. And for the even bigger kids (that’s you) there are plenty of spas to enjoy. Keeping everyone happy? No longer Mission: Impossible.

If a Disney trip is on the schedule for your family in 2023, TUI has a host of options, but the Art of Animation Resort caught our eye. Firstly (and you might sense a water-loving theme) it boasts Walt Disney World Resort’s largest pool based around Finding Nemo (one of three, as well as a wet play area). The place is designed around four films – Finding Nemo, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid and Cars, so if you’ve got a big fan of any of the above, you’re onto a winner as you take in oversized models of Timon and Pumbaa, or bump into a 35-foot King Triton. Oh and just in case the kids have any energy left after a full day of all that and the Disney parks, there’s a Righteous Reef playground and a Cars-themed games arcade. Book. Us. In.

Designed specially with families in mind, it’s the little touches we love about this resort. The perfect place to relax, the gorgeous swimming pools are accompanied by a sweep of sandy beach, too. And to help, there’s a boardwalk across the sand so that you can easily get pushchairs down to the waterfront – we love that. Of course, if your kids don’t have relaxing in their DNA, there’s the usual roster of amazing kids' clubs for all ages, a minigolf course and water slides. The baby pool is partially shaded, too.

Who says Mauritius is just for the honeymoon period before the kids arrive? We love the idea of the whole family getting to enjoy this luxury resort, featuring an infinity pool next to an incredible sandy beach. And if you’re taking it in turns to enjoy some child-free time, there’s a whole private island to hide out on. There are kids clubs for four to 12-year-olds daily… and perhaps at the same time, you might be able to enjoy a water-delivered cocktail by the pool or a session at the spa. We’ve got you thinking now, haven’t we…?

If you’re looking for a mix, this holiday is for you. You’ve got the luxe swimming pool and it overlooks a beach. You’ve also got a spa and fantastic food at the hotel. You’ve also got Dubrovnik nearby and the amazing history and culture in the Old City walls with all the fantastic food and drink options it offers. Having the option to have two (or three) holidays in one is a big draw for this lovely hotel, where you can choose to go bed and breakfast or half board.

The opportunity to holiday in Cuba is a real draw for this place, sure, but the hotel looks incredible. The hotel is surrounded by thick greenery on all sides but one – where a beautiful sandy beach lies. Add to that three swimming pools and a nightclub. Yes, a nightclub. If you can’t settle by one of the pools or the beach, on offer in the day are classes like salsa dancing, volleyball and water polo. There are many food options at the all-inclusive hotel and when you’ve worked your way through them all, the evening’s entertainment is a sight to behold, including everything from magic shows to dance acts.

It’s not that we’ve sought out the most incredible waterparks, but they keep finding us! This hotel includes access to one of Egypt’s biggest waterparks – Makadi Water World, with 50 slides. Whether you’re a water baby or a water baby snr, you’re going to love it here. There are also four more pools at the hotel if you want to keep things a little more low-key (!), a lovely restaurant and an 18-hole golf course. Any energy left, there’s a spacious gym. And once you’re ready to drop, there’s a spa too. Several swimsuits may be required.

Bed and Breakfast is available at this beautiful hotel – ideal for exploring the incredible food on offer in this classically chic Italian resort. A fantastic place for a restful lake retreat, this hotel may suit families with older children who can appreciate its gardens, heated outdoor pool and lakeside terrace. If you do have small children, an evening babysitting service is available for guests (at an additional cost). As beautiful as the hotel is, the location is also a huge draw. The ancient town of Menaggio is packed full of medieval charm – potter around the shops based in the narrow streets and small squares, or visit the Church of Santa Marta, which holds works that date back to the 17th Century. We imagine there are some excellent aperitivos on offer too…

If you’re looking for a city break we cannot recommend Seville enough. Beautiful buildings, just enough history to keep you happy that you’ve done something with your time off and (the absolute main thing) incredible food. This hotel makes city-breaking with kids all the more appealing with its central location and swimming pool, so everyone can have a little cool down. Should you wish to make a longer stay, the beach is around an 80km drive away, there are bikes available and a children’s playground to keep everyone entertained. And should you wish to make it a more glam stay, there are spa treatments and a beauty salon available, too.
